Itinerary

I T I N E R A R Y
Day 1: Labuan Bajo - Kelor Island - Menjarite - Kalong Island (Bats Island) 
In the morning at 7:30  you will be transferd to the harbour in the center of Labuan Bajo. We give you the latest information about the Komodo National Park and handover your snorkeling masks and fins. After boarding, the local traditional buginese wooden boat lifts its anchor and we head towards Kelor Island. We travel  along the coastline between small uninhabitated Robinson Crusoe Islands with pearl-white sandy beaches for apprx. one hour. Usually the sea is very calm and we enjoy the picturesque scenery from the deck of our boat. Time for sunbathing, photo shooting  or just relaxing. Finally we arrive at Kelor Island. Here we have enough time to explore the underwater world and to hike to the top of the Island hill.  Afterwards we continue our tour to Menjarite where we will snorkel and relax. 
Late afternoon we are going to head to Kalong Island to watch the flying foxes coming out of their nests and darkens the sky. A great experience! The captain and his crew meanwhile starts to prepare our meal for the evening. Fish, chicken, noodles, rice, vegetable and fruits will be cooked in an indonesian style and served after sunset. We chill out on the boat, might drink a beer or soft drinks and listen to the stories of our guide. Before you fall asleep don't forget to watch the stars of the southern hemisphere and listen to the soft waves of the ocean. Day 2: Kalong - Padar - Komodo - Pink Beach - Manta Point - Labuan Bajo
Early in the morning we cross the sea channel with its strong currents and go to Padar Island where we do a short hike to the peak. Don't forget to bring your mobile Phone or camera. A breathtaking view Breakfast will be served on the way. Finally we arrive at the pier of Komodo. Jump out of the boat!  A short path leads us to the headquarter of these semi arid island with its impressive Lontar Palms. Our Komodo National Park ranger might already wait for us. We quickly do some administration things and then our Ranger introduces us to his island with the worlds's unique Komodo Dragons. You get the option to do an easy one or two hours hike through the nature to see all the wild animals and of course also the dragons.  If you are lucky you see all the drangons and dears hanging around the waterplace. On the way back just take a rest or visit the small local market where the Komodo people offers handycrafts. Back on the boat we continue our tour to Manta Point. If the sea conditions permit and there are Manta Rays around you can swim or snorkeling with the Manta Rays. A wonderful experience which you never will forget. If you have an underwater camera let people take photos of you swimming beside the huge flat Manta Rays. Early afternoon it is time to go back to Labuan Bajo. The pure travel time takes about three hours. Between five and six o’clock we reach Labuan Bajo harbour.

Please note:
We cannot guarantee to see the bats and the Manta Rays due to animal behaviour, weather and ocean conditions. In case of bad weather or bad ocean conditions, we have the right to cancel the tour.
