Komodo National Park Fee 2023
Below you can find an overview of the new Komodo National Park fees 2023 and other National Park and entrance fees on Flores. The Province East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) in Indonesia has also many National Parks and Nature Conservation areas. The most significants are located in the area of Flores and Komodo as there are Komodo National Park, Seventeen Islands National Park and Kelimutu National Park.
To enter the parks you have to purchase several tickets and if you also like to do activities in the parks i. e. snorkeling, diving or hiking, there are additional fees. You will be also confronted with some other restribution and nature conservation fees. The validity of all tickets is only one day. If you want to spend more days in the Park, you have to buy new tickets during your cruise for every day you like to stay in the park.
It can be very difficult to fully understand the complicated Komodo National Park fee structure. The personal daily fee vary depending on number of people in a group, activities one want to do, day of the week, nationality etc.. They are often subject to frequent changes. Our Flores Komodo Expedition Team use total transparency on Komodo National Park fee. Tickets will be bought directly by you at the ranger stations in the park with the support of our guides who have full transparancy. There is no need to worry. Just prepare your cash in Indonesian Rupiah.
In addition to Komodo National Park fee, boats which cruise in the Park get charged as well, depending on size and type. Furthermore, a harbour clearance fee must be obtained with the harbour authorities. And to complete this confusing and diverse fee collection, it is also common to charge a boat parking fee at some anchorages in the Park.
Please note, it is not a common practise to cover the boat fees by tour operator or agencies. Most of them will charge these fees on top of your tour package price .
As Komodo and Flores attracts more and more visitors from all over the world year by year, the Komodo National Park fees increase as well from year to year, especially for foreigners.

Thank you for the info, all your prices are correct and up to date. However on Rinca Island, I paid the above ticket prices: entrance ticket, tourist tax, hiking and wildlife observation fee and ranger fee. But then right next to the ticket office I had to pay an extra 100.000 separately. Just wandering what this is for? ( Kabupaten Manggarai Barat Dinas pariwisata dan kebudayaan. Karcis retribusi tempat rekreasi dan olahraga) just seems like there’s always something new to pay for ????. Thanks for the help!
Unfortunately from time to time one is not tired of inventing new tickets in Indonesia. "Karcis retribusi tempat rekreasi dan olahraga" means "retribution ticket for the place of recreation and sports"
Hey there, I was wondering if you know anything about filming permit charges and fees attached to it. Please do let me know if you have any idea about it. It would be of great help :)
Thanks
We have no idea about the current National Park fees for filming. If you want to make commercial video clips or documentations, you also need a permit from Jakarta, where the headquarter of the Indonesian National Parks is located. You can find more information at https://filmingindonesia.co... . It seems to be a very complicated procedure. From our experience it is easier to ask directly at the office of the Komodo National Park in Labuan Bajo when you are in Labuan Bajo. They will help to get the permit from Jakarta. But you have to bring some time and maybe you need also a special visa for commercial shoots.
