The Hidden Treasure - Cave Rangko
Half day sightseeing tour
Private tour, 1 to 7 people
For a long time the majestic Rangko Cave was an insider tip for travelers who were closely associated with the locals in Labuan Bajo. It was hard to get there and always a well kept secret. Rangko Cave is a rocky cavern with crystal clear water and lots of stalagmites and stalagtites. On a half day tour by car and boat we are going to explore this gorgeous cavern in a meanwhile more easy way. A spectacular wonderful nature-phenomenon awaits us!
We pick you up at 10 in the morning from your hotel in the area of Labuan Bajo. Take some sun blocker, sandals, sun glasses and swimming wear with you. All other equipment we provide for you. With our car we travel through the upper part of Labuan Bajo to Rangko, the nearest village to the beach outside the cave. From there we change to a boat and do a short ride to the beach below the entrance of the cave. We descend into the cave by a bamboo ladder and then climb down the slippery rocks to the water. Rangko Cave is a rocky ocean cavern with crystal clear water, lit up to a bright glowing turquoise colour when the sun shines through the mouth of the cave during midday.
Once we get in the water, we can swim into the darkness, where the cave opens into a large, round cavern. We can scale the walls and can jump back into the deep salt-water pool. We will feel like in a glorious paradise which we won't want to miss anymore. The beauty and atmosphere of this natural phenomenon, the turquoise water surrounded by more than thousand years old stalagmites and stalagtites will put us in the realm of the underworld, well known from glorious tails. A magical small paradise almost at the end of the world.
